Sweet Ordering FAQs
A little help before you pick your mix! Here are answers to common questions about ordering from The Cheeky Sweetbox.
Ingredients and dietary requirements
How can I check the ingredients in my sweets?
Check the information for the specific sweets you want to order. If ingredients or allergen details are missing or unclear, email thecheekysweetbox@gmail.com before buying, with the product name and your question. Please do not assume that every sweet in a mixed bag has the same ingredients or dietary status.
Are your sweets halal, vegetarian or vegan?
Suitability needs to be checked for each individual sweet and, for a mix, every sweet included. Ingredient information, animal-derived ingredients and any relevant manufacturer certification need to be considered. A gelatine-free description alone does not establish halal, vegetarian or vegan suitability. Please contact us about your chosen bag before ordering if you need confirmation, including whether any halal claim is supported by certification. Do not assume that our whole range meets a particular dietary requirement.
Do your sweets contain gelatine?
Check the ingredients for the specific sweet. If gelatine is listed but its source is not clear, ask us to confirm the manufacturer information before you order. We cannot confirm the source from a sweet's appearance or name alone.
Are your sweets gluten-free, and what about allergies or cross-contamination?
Please ask about the exact product before ordering if you need gluten-free sweets or have a food allergy. An ingredient list without a particular allergen does not, on its own, confirm that cross-contact is excluded during manufacture, storage or packing. Do not treat vegan, vegetarian or halal descriptions as allergy-safety assurances. If we cannot confirm the information you need, please do not order that product for your dietary requirement. Always check the information supplied with your order before eating.
Freshness and packaging
How long will my sweets stay fresh?
Shelf life depends on the sweets and their packaging. If you are buying ahead for a gift or event, contact us before ordering so we can check the relevant freshness information rather than promise a fixed shelf life.
How should I store my sweets?
As a general precaution, keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat, and close the bag securely after opening. Contact us if you need product-specific advice.
What packaging will my order arrive in?
If you need to know whether your chosen bag is resealable, individually wrapped or suitable for a particular gift or event, please ask before ordering. Do not assume that every product uses the same packaging. If packaging arrives open or damaged, contact us before eating the sweets.
Bag sizes and weights
What weight am I ordering, and is there an exact tolerance?
Choose the bag size shown on the product listing. If you need clarification about whether a stated weight excludes packaging, or the exact weighing tolerance used for a particular bag, contact us before ordering. We have not stated a numerical tolerance here, so please do not assume a particular plus-or-minus allowance.
What if I think my bag is underweight?
Email us with your order number, the bag size ordered and, if possible, a photograph of the sweets on a scale with the empty container's weight removed. Keep the packaging and label so we can investigate the apparent difference.
Delivery
When will my order arrive?
Check the delivery information shown when ordering. Preparing an order and carrying it to your address are separate stages, so please do not assume a delivery estimate starts at the moment you pay. If you need sweets for a particular date, email us before placing your order to check whether the timing is suitable.
What if my parcel is late?
Check any dispatch or tracking information you have received. If the expected delivery window has passed, email us with your order number so we can look into it. Please let us know if there is a delivery-address issue as well.
Damaged parcels and broken sweets
What should I do if my parcel arrives damaged or sweets are broken?
We know a battered sweet delivery is disappointing. Email thecheekysweetbox@gmail.com with your order number and a description of the problem. If possible, include clear photographs of the outer parcel, packaging, label and affected sweets, and keep these while we investigate. Let us know whether the bag is torn or unsealed, or whether the sweets are broken inside intact packaging. We will review the issue with you and discuss the appropriate next step.
If the packaging is compromised or you are concerned about contamination, do not eat the affected sweets. This guidance does not limit your consumer rights.
